2025-26 Tonica Grade School E-Learning Policy
What is E-Learning?
District wide remote learning due to a mandated school closure or any other District closure as determined by ISBE, the Governor, the ROE or Tonica Grade School District #79 leadership.
TGS is allowed up to five E-Learning days in a given school year.
Hours?
An E-Learning day constitutes five hours of school work. It will look different based on a child’s grade.
Communication
Parent/Teacher communication will take place through TeacherEase, Google Classroom and (if applicable) Class Dojo. You can also email the teacher with questions throughout the E-Learning day between the hours of 8:30 am and 1:30 pm. Should the district implement an E-Learning day, families will be notified via Social Media and through TeacherEase.
